Meet Daniel. Part 1 .

It’s an honor for me to write about Daniel.

Let me introduce you to Daniel:

20131031-144215.jpg Daniel was found as a stray in Alabama .On Oct. 3, 2011 he was put into a gas chamber in Florence, Alabama along with 17 other stray dogs. Carbon monoxide was pumped into the chamber.
When the animal control officer in charge of the operation returned to the locked chamber he found Daniel waiting at the door, wagging its tail.to the shock of everyone he somehow survived. The other dogs were dead.
You really need to watch this video with tissues:

Here is a picture of Daniel just after he was out of the gas chamber:

He found a temporary home in Tennessee with Karen Rudolph, who runs Schnauzer Savers Rescue of West Tennessee with her husband Michael.
Karen Rudolph called him Daniel, inspired by the biblical story of Daniel, who walked out of a lion’s den unscathed. When Karen took Daniel Milagro to see her veterinarian, he received a clean bill of health.
“Amazingly, not only did he survive the gas chamber which is very rare … he was not sick,” Karen Rudolph said. “It was almost as though angels pulled him out of there and he didn’t even breathe the gas.”

On November 10, 2011 he arrived at his forever home with Joe and Geralynn Dwyers and their children Jenna and Joe who have always loved dogs .They are beautiful human beings and this is the best that could have happened to Daniel. If you want to learn more about Daniel please open this link:

Daniel is so handsome and photogenic, and I love him so much, I could spend the night posting pictures of him.

RileysStar update.

I want to thank Kendra for giving me this beautiful pendant for my first giveaway.
As well as making beautiful pendants she now also personalizes pendants, she can put anything you desire on a pendant. She is also doing this amazing thing that you all need to read about especially if you have children.
As an animal Advocate, I completely support this wonderful thing that she does.
https://www.etsy.com/shop/RileysStar?ref=pr_shop_more

Thanks for stopping by at my shop. My name is Kendra and I have been involved in the animal welfare community for many years and though it is taxing emotionally as well as physically, and though Ive cried myself to sleep a ton of nights and though my heart is heavy often for these poor souls that suffer, I will never stop fighting for them. This is my passion. I am in the starting the process of becoming a 501C3 charity and would love to run my own small rescue. For now, I have created a newsletter called Lil Animal Advocates. I believe that the changes these animals need lies within the children.

What if 30 something years ago, when Michael Vick was a young boy, his parents had instilled in him the values and morals that we in the animal community strive to uphold? Just imagine how many animals would have been saved from a vicious and cruel death.

What if 30 years ago, the children of puppy mill owners were taught the ramifications of irresponsible breeding so that millions of purebred puppies were not dumped at the shelter only to die lonely and confused?

What if the millions of dogs who died on the end of a chain in harsh weather elements, hungry and abused, were spared such a miserable life because the generations of the past knew better?

What if every child who wanted a dog knew instinctively to offer their home to a homeless dog from a shelter versus buying a brand new puppy from a pet store?

What if every child’s heart was filled with the love of a cat or dog that was rescued from a shelter?

What if today’s children knew a new level of awareness and compassion that yesterday’s children never learned?

What if the 3 R’s (Reading, Writing, Arithmetic) were followed by one more letter – the Letter of Compassion. It not only is the key to saving the voiceless but it is also the answer to a more enlightened, aware, loving world.

Sadly, the harsh reality is that Michael Vick was probably never taught that animals feel and that they matter. Puppy mill owners only see greed and therefore pass that on to their children. Chained dogs surround us everywhere from backyards that are out of eyesight. And shelters grow more and more packed by the day from people who just give up on their pets. People who grow tired of their older pets and don’t want to deal with them anymore.

While most of you who are reading this are heavily involved in animal welfare and probably have passed the beauty of compassion and kindness onto your children, there are thousands out there who don’t. I feel that instilling trait in the generation of today is key to change. Without teaching today’s child the importance of compassion to animals and spreading the truth of what needs to change far and wide, things will never change. It all begins with our children.

So with that being said, The Lil’ Animal Advocates Club Newsletter is in need of donations to keep going. That is why this page was created. The newsletter is delivered by postal mail and not online because kids love getting mail. Plus its something they can physically pass on to another child they know. The sales from these pendants help me to keep going publishing.

If you have a child who is interested, please message me your address and I will send them out a welcome letter, membership card, a fun little surprise. I am asking that every parent sends a book of stamps to help with their child’s subscription, but it is definitely not mandatory. I want this newsletter to reach the hands of as many children as possible!

I am very excited about this new venture and I have so many great ideas and plans. I hope you come on board and share this ideal.

Imagine this scenario for a closing thought…

Imagine a chained dog, miserable and alone, perhaps dying a slow painful death at the end of a chain in someone’s backyard where he is hidden. Imagine a child, outside playing with other children and running in and out of yards, sees this dog.

Two scenarios could play out. The child does nothing and really thinks nothing of the sight he is seeing. After all he doesn’t know the dog is miserable and in pain. He thinks this is ok that dogs are sometimes chained. He continues playing and that dog will eventually take his last breath and die.

Now, let’s go to the second scenario. Imagine that child has been receiving the newsletter and just read an article about how wrong chaining is. He runs across a dog in a neighbor’s yard and instantly realizes something needs to be done. He finds an adult who will help him find someone who can help this poor dog and gets it saved in the nick of time? Imagine that life spared because of a little boy who read a little article in a little newsletter?

Imagine that child was Michael Vick, and he had been receiving a little newsletter when he was a child. Just imagine the horrors that might never have happened.

It can happen folks! I have a lot of faith in this. I just need your support!!! Please share this page. Each sale makes a difference!

Thanks,
Kendra

WATCH BLACKFISH . DON’T BUY A TICKET TO SEA WORLD OR ANY MARINE PARK

THIS IS SO IMPORTANT.

http://blackfishmovie.com

When I was younger, I wanted to be a dolphin trainer. I wanted to work with dolphins. Dolphins were and still are to me ,magical animals.I was visiting all the marine parks , buying all kind of things thinking that I was actually helping the dolphins and doing the right thing.
So of course later, my dream was to swim with dolphins.I actually did it.
I was on holidays in Dominican Republic. The dolphins were in a little swimming pool.
While we were waiting in the swimming pool for others to swim with them, one dolphin was coming and biting us.
They were skinny and so miserable. How cruel is that?
Was it a dream? certainly not! Not for the dolphins. It was a nightmare and the word is weak. For me? seeing them miserable in this tiny tank was breaking my heart.
Later on, I was taking my children to marine parks thinking that it was education.Seriously how stupid was all this?
At this time I didn’t know better. I really wish I knew what I know now. Education is so important.

THOSE ARE THE THINGS NOT TO DO. NEVER EVER AND THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I DID AND NO LONGER DO.I WISH I NEVER DID.

VINCA cute jewelry made in USA

“At Vinca, we look around at what other people are doing and ask “What can we do that is different? How can we take something usual and spice it up a bit?” Occasionally we will get an itch to make something seen in a dream or misheard from eavesdropping.”
“Vinca is designed for those who cannot stand boring. In Austin everyone knows it is the weirder, the better.”

I love foxes.I have a passion for all animals but I have something special for foxes.
I discovered Vinca Jewelry after falling in love with this stunning necklace. We were in a little boutique with my husband, looking around and this necklace caught my eyes. I just loved it straight away.
